The Atomic Bomb
Albert Einstein who was a Jew from Germany and Enrico Fermi who was from Italy, there were others from Austria, Czech, and Denmark that helped make the atomic bomb. The splitting of the two atoms and it was a catastrophic weapon. On December 2, 1942 the Bomb was successful in splitting uranium atoms at the university of Chicago.

Manhattan Project- this was the project of the atomic bomb that FDR set up to be built, it took more than 3 years to develop and cost $2 billion, the test was in Alamogordo, New Mexico and was the first Mushroom cloud. Germany and Italy already surrendered.

Hiroshima- August 6, 1945- 75,000 people were killed immediately and thousands more died of radiation later.

Nagasaki- august 14, 1945- more people died and more people infected with radiation
Cost of the War
Many people died during WWII but for the United States it was not as much as the others and yet still it was more than the amount of people who died in WWI. The WWII eventually ends and the Cold War breaks out. The Cold War lasts for 50 years.
